Threaded ball joint linkages DIN 71802 consist of a ball socket DIN 71805 and a ball stud DIN 71803.
The swivel angle for the type with safety catch (types BS) is 15°, without safety catch (types B) it is 18°.
During assembly, the ball socket is pushed over the snap ring, which acts as a retainer. If the retaining force (see also pull-off force in the table above) is not sufficient, the connection of ball socket / ball stud can be secured by the safety catch, which can easily be fitted.
To protect the threaded ball joint linkages against contamination, GN 710 dust caps can be used.
The hex nut is part of the threaded ball joint linkages with threaded stud.
