3/2 way valve (type A)
In the neutral position the way valve allows compressed air to pass from 1 to 2. By pressing the button, the compressed air connection 1 is closed, and the working connection from 2 to 3 is vented. When the button is released, the way valve automatically returns to the neutral position.

For pneumatic pilot controls,
single-acting cylinders

3/2 way valve (type B)
In the neutral position, the way valve vents the working connection 2 to 3. Compressed air connection 1 is closed. Pressing the button allows compressed air to pass from 1 to 2. When the button is released, the way valve automatically returns to the neutral position.

Use:
For pneumatic pilot controls,
single-acting cylinders

5/2 way valve (type A)
In the neutral position, the way valve allows compressed air to pass from 1 to 2, and the working connection 4 is simultaneously vented at connection 5. By pressing the button, the compressed air connection 1 is switched from 2 to 4, and the working connection from 2 to 3 is vented. When the button is released, the way valve automatically returns to the neutral position.

For double-action cylinders and drives
