Product Family Hygienic Design
Standard Parts of the “Hygienic Design” product family are labeled with the HD icon. They combine high surface quality, freedom from dead spaces, non-scooped outer surfaces, and sealed bolting areas. A sealing concept based on FEM calculations ensures reliable contact pressure after installation.
Sockets GN 3124 are used to install the Hygienic Design standard parts listed in the table. In conjunction with the aluminum material used, the rounded hexagon geometry of the wrench flats transfers the torque to the screw head without causing damage.
If the specified torques are complied with, the socket wrench inserts achieve a long service life. They are driven using commercially available ratchets or reversible ratchets with square drive.
